Meeting in Raqdalin to promote women's empowerment in the municipality

On 24 July 2022, representatives from the Raqdalin Municipal Council met with women's community organisations as part of the "Receive" project to discuss ways to empower women and enhance their opportunities in the labour market. While the percentage of women's participation in municipal sectors was partially praised, participants expressed concerns about the poor work environment and lack of leadership opportunities. The Municipal Council pledged to support women's access to senior positions and improve the work environment as available. The project is a partnership between VNG International, CILG-VNG International and DRI, with support from the European Union and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
